I run an ATI 4850 which I picked up over a year ago. The card still runs all games pretty well. I'm sure the price has come down quite a bit since then.
However, if I were buying new today I would upgrade to a ATI 5850.

I'm looking into the 5850 now. Are you running a single card or crossfire and how does it handle bad company 2?

5870 is top shit right now... SLI and Crossfire aren't worth the money since they don't give enough benefit to justify the cost of 2x decent cards when you can get 1 really good card for less. Also with sli or crossfire you can only use 1 monitor apparently. A lot of it comes down to drivers too, and certain games will run better with 2x gpu while most won't or don't support it very well. Keep it simple, stick with 1 higher end card. Also requires less power.
Take a look at gigabytes lineup of motherboards, they offer some of the best boards for oc'ing i7's. How many hard-drives you planning on running? You could probably get by with a 600 watt psu with what's listed there and a hard-drive or 2, but to be safe I'd say grab a 700 watt to future proof a bit. Corsair comes to mind as some of the best stable and quiet psu's around, and they are reasonably priced too.
Any idea what kinda case you gonna throw all that into?
